Hello and welcome to Outreach Media

My name is James Brown. Yes, that’s right! Not to be confused with the singer, football player or thousands of other imposters. I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. In 1988 I moved to Colorado to attend college and decided to stay. After working in the corporate world doing design and running a pre-press department I made the leap to become the sole owner and founder of Outreach Media. I direct my passion for graphic design and writing to help my clients grow their businesses. The care and effort I put into each project has earned a loyal following, allowing my business to grow entirely through word-of-mouth since forming the company in 1999. Outreach Media is more than a one-man-operation by maintaining working relationships with a variety of specialists in business development, web programming, 3D animation, photography and copy writing.

In addition to working on projects for all my amazing clients, I am also an enthusiastic entrepreneur, creating a variety of products including magazines, clothing, gift items, snowboards, footwear accessories, furniture and a never ending supply of exciting and evolving ideas. Being a business owner and entrepreneur helps me relate to my client’s concerns and challenges.

My other main passion is kiteboarding – on snow in winter and water in summer. I have had been fortunate to mix my work life with this amazing sport by founding two magazines and developing advertisements, packaging and product design within the kiteboarding industry.
